We like to make a statement. And put Ilfracombe on the map. We do this by staging great events, which raise funds for our community. Here are a few you may know us from...

Ilfracombe Beer Fest

Launched 2023, Ilfracombe Beer Fest was an immediate hit. Crowds flocked to the Landmark green for four days of live music, family fun and more beers than you could every wish for! A stunning success in the sunshine, over 7,000 pints were sold. Thanks to your support and the incredible generosity of the local business community, we were able to donate £10,000 to our main beneficiary, Families in Grief.

South West Birdman

For years, Birdman has been Ilfracombe’s biggest event, putting our town on the map by drawing in thousands of visitors and gaining national media coverage. Brave aviators hurl themselves from the pier in homemade flying contraptions, for the enjoyment of the watching crowds. The day is also a massive free festival with stellar live music all day, food village, trade stalls, kids entertainment and much more. Birdman has raise tens of thousands of pounds over the years, all of which has supported worthy causes in our community.

Drive-In Cinema

When Covid struck, the world changed. Our main methods of raising money all ground to a halt. But we found a way to bring the community together in a wonderful (and safe) way, while also raising vital funds to support our town in this crucial time. We invested in an entire drive-in cinema set-up, and held dozens of screenings in Ilfracombe and across North Devon. People were so grateful be able to enjoy something fun while respecting safety restrictions. It was perhaps the most wholesome and fulfilling thing we’ve ever done. Tens of thousands was raised and we were able to make a real difference to our community at such a tough time.

Ilfracombe Fireworks

We play an integral role in the popular annual fireworks display. Not only do we assist with the organisation, we also support the event with insurance cover and manpower. It’s great to work in partnership with Ilfracombe Rugby Club, for whom the fireworks event is a vital annual fundraiser.

‘Fun’ fundraisers

We love a challenge. So we’ve taken on dozens of smaller fundraising missions over the years. We’ve run 100 miles on a treadmill outside Tesco, in honour of national hero (and former Round Tabler) Captain Tom. We’ve rallied a rickety Tuk-Tuk from London to Land’s End for charity. We’ve even cycled from Ilfracombe to Plymouth in a single day, to raise funds for a local girl’s cancer treatment. For us, raising funds is about using our professional skills to benefit the community, but also having a lot of fun at the same time.
